Amazon.com Review "A is an alligator with its mouth wide open, B is a big blue bird, C is a crab with two clamping claws...." You get the idea. It's never too early to get your babies chewing on books and ruminating on the alphabet, and children of all ages enjoy the company of H.A. Rey's intrepid monkey, Curious George. In this board book, the letter itself mimics the shape of the animal or object in question. The A is actually the gaping jaw of the alligator, the B is the head and body of the big blue bird, and so on. In most of the pictures--not-so-curiously, 26 in all--youngsters will delight in finding a tiny Curious George, just about to get into mischief, no doubt. Adult Curious George fans will get a kick out of sharing their long-time monkey friend with their favorite little chimps, and preschoolers will enjoy the comical illustrations that offer just the right amount of detail to keep things interesting. (Baby to Preschool) --Karin Snelson
Product Description Read from A to Z along with George in a condensed version of the clas-sic Curious George Learns the Alphabet.

A family favorite through two toddlers January 2, 2009 Our family loves this book so much we've been forced to buy a new copy -- our original is so badly frayed from re-reading it's falling apart. But that's a good sign. This book is an outstanding introduction to the alphabet for toddlers and preschoolers. It was part our good-night reading routine for over two years with our son (now 5), and our daughter, 18 months, is following the tradition. The illustrations are whimsical and age-appropriate, with everyday objects and familiar animals used to give kids great reinforcement. There are plenty of cute little asides in the book (for example, "P is for penguin" and in tiny text, the penguin goes "plop") as well as multiple iterations of George, the beloved monkey, on most pages. I can't recommend this book highly enough. Enjoy!
The twins loved it! December 3, 2007 We bought this book for our slightly-more-than-2-year-old twin grandsons, and they loved it. At this age, they're more interested in identifying the pictures than associating the drawings with the letters, but that's ok. There's something about the monkey image that is endlessly fascinating to them. Go for it!
Curious George November 16, 2007 I love all the curious George books. Who Doesn't?
author of "Hobo Finds A Home"
A real page-turner October 25, 2007 This was a gift to my son when he was five months old, and it was a fast favorite -- if only because there are so many more pages to turn than in your classic board book! Mom and Dad enjoy the clever, letter-incorporating illustrations in this romp through the alphabet and trust that in time, our boy will, too.
Curious George's ABC June 9, 2007 Great book for a two year old boy who loves Curious George. He imitates and watches him daily on television.
